Ex-Councillor Admits Drugging, Raping Wife Over 13 Years

Philip Young, a former Conservative councillor, pleaded guilty to multiple offenses against his ex-wife, Joanne Young, including rape, drugging with intent to commit sexual activity, sexual assault, assault by penetration, and voyeurism over a 13-year period. Young also admitted to publishing numerous non-consensual intimate photos and videos of his wife. Five other men are accused of sexually assaulting Joanne. Young served as a councillor for Swindon between 2007 and 2010.
