Eurostar Resumes Limited Channel Tunnel Service After Power Outage Strands Thousands During Holiday Period

Eurostar has resumed gradual service through the Channel Tunnel after major power supply issues and a broken-down LeShuttle train suspended operations on Tuesday, stranding thousands of holiday travelers. Services were halted completely before partially reopening in the evening with only one operational track. The company advises passengers to postpone travel to alternative dates due to ongoing severe delays. The disruption affected 18 train services during the busy New Year period, leaving passengers scrambling for flights and alternative transport between the UK and Europe.
