Essex University opens £2.5m lab for biomedical scientists

The new £2.5 million facility is designed to prepare future biomedical scientists for roles within the NHS and the life sciences industry. The Bioscience Skills Training and Research Laboratory (BioSTAR-Lab), which features a dedicated cancer diagnostics lab, received funding from the Office for Students. Students are set to acquire practical expertise using the apparatus and methods employed in contemporary healthcare.
