Erling Haaland sparks Manchester City win over Galatasaray to seal last-16 place

Manchester City beat Galatasaray 2-0 on 28 January 2026 to secure a Champions League last-16 spot and finish in the top eight of the league phase. Erling Haaland ended his goal drought with an early opener before Rayan Cherki doubled the lead, both goals coming in the first half.
