England's obesity rates have doubled since 1993, now a record 30%

About 14 million adults are now obese in England, double the rate from 1993, with young adults seeing the fastest rise. Changes in eating habits, lower food prices, and more sedentary jobs are key reasons behind the increase. The King's Fund says governments have failed to take enough action despite 14 strategies over 30 years.
