England has just had its wettest week in two years after storms Austen and Boelo, but most of England and Wales remain in drought. The Environment Agency says 11 reservoirs are still exceptionally low, with Ardingly and Wimbleball below 20% capacity. Hosepipe bans stay in place, little rain is forecast, and England needs at least 20% more rain than average over six months to recover.
