Maria and Czeslaw Krupa, both Polish citizens, were stopped by Ryanair in May from returning home to Bury. They were told they needed new post-Brexit paperwork, despite living in the UK for almost 80 years since fleeing the Second World War. A charity that helped them says it sees thousands of similar cases daily, mostly with elderly people.
