Driving Test Cheating Surges: Headsets and Impersonators Used
Cheating on driving tests in England, Scotland, and Wales has increased dramatically, rising nearly 50% in the year leading up to September 2025. The Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) data shows over 2,844 attempts to cheat. Common methods include using Bluetooth headsets (1,113 cases) and impersonating candidates for both theory (1,084 attempts) and practical tests (647 incidents). Nearly 100 offenders faced prosecution. Experts warn of increased accidents due to unqualified drivers.
