Doctors warn heat from devices causes 'toasted skin syndrome' in children

Parents should watch for 'toasted skin syndrome', a red or brown net-like rash caused by long low-level heat exposure. One UK boy developed the condition after spending up to eight hours a day with his laptop resting on his stomach. Pharmacists advise stopping heat exposure and seeing a dermatologist if the skin change remains.
