Deadly Pufferfish Washes Up On Dorset Beach After Storms

Deadly Pufferfish Washes Up On Dorset Beach After Storms

A dead pufferfish about 17 inches long has been found on Knoll Beach at Studland, Dorset, by diver Owen Booty, who first mistook it for a buoy. The exotic species is thought to have been blown off course by Storms Austen and Boalo. Its toxins, reportedly far deadlier than cyanide, can linger in the skin and organs after death, so the fish remains very dangerous.
