Congo Ebola outbreak now second largest ever

The World Health Organization said DR Congo's Ebola outbreak is now the second largest on record, with 3,532 cases and 1,556 deaths. Only the 2014-2016 West African epidemic was larger, with 28,616 cases and 11,310 deaths across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. WHO officials said the true scale could be up to four times higher than reported, calling it the fastest spreading Ebola epidemic yet.
