China’s Economy Shrinks in Global Clout Despite Continued Growth

China’s economy is expanding domestically but losing global weight as a weaker yuan and deflation reduce its value in dollar terms. Its share of global GDP has fallen from about 18.5% in 2021 to roughly 16.5% in 2025, despite steady growth.
