Chelsea sprints 3 players upfield adopting Match of the Day tactic against Arsenal
AI Generated (Gemini)
Chelsea executed a bold strategy during Tuesday's Carabao Cup semi-final, sending three players sprinting upfield moments before Arsenal corners. This move mirrors advice from Shay Given on Match of the Day following Arsenal's 4-0 Leeds victory. While the Gunners secured a 4-2 aggregate win, the tactic forced Mikel Arteta's side to retreat, attempting to neutralize their set-piece dominance. Liam Rosenior noted the innovation, though Kai Havertz ultimately sealed Arsenal's final spot.
