Chancellor to deliver first budget on 28 October

Chancellor John Healey will deliver his first budget on 28 October, promising to move power and money out of Westminster. The budget will also detail how the government plans to fund recent policy announcements, including cuts to VAT on electricity bills. Prime Minister Andy Burnham has also announced that city region mayors will, for the first time, receive a portion of income tax revenue.
