Castlemilk residents still want a supermarket
Residents in Castlemilk, a Glasgow neighbourhood, face limited food options and must travel long distances, spending money, to buy affordable groceries. Locals have campaigned since 2016 for a major supermarket, but promises made four years ago to bring one to the area have not been fulfilled. For example, a bus journey to a larger shop like Asda, which is half an hour away, can cost over £6 just for fares.
