Can robot jetpacks save dying satellites?

Three ageing satellites will find out: a SpaceX Falcon 9 launched Northrop Grumman's Mission Robotic Vehicle, carrying a DARPA-developed robotic arm system on a year-long journey to geosynchronous orbit. There it will bolt 'orbital jetpack' extension pods onto three fuel-starved communications satellites, taking over their steering for years more service. Success could turn satellites from disposable hardware into repairable infrastructure.
