Burnham hints at stricter benefit conditions to cut welfare bill

Prime Minister Andy Burnham suggested he might make it harder to claim benefits, saying the country needs to get serious about reducing the welfare bill. He indicated he plans to increase the conditions required for people to receive benefits. Burnham added that this is about changing the nature of support and making it conditional on people taking opportunities.
