Burnham and Macron commit French police to stop small boats
Prime Minister Andy Burnham will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Downing Street on Thursday to discuss curbing irregular migration. The leaders will announce more resources for French police to stop small boats and larger "mega-dinghies" launching. The new resources include nearly 1,050 officers in northern France, plus a dedicated 75-person unit to confiscate equipment and apprehend smugglers.
