Brent crude rises above $100 as Iran-US attacks threaten oil supplies

Brent reached $101.61 a barrel on Thursday, while WTI rose to $96.54 as traders prepared for possible supply disruptions. Iran said it attacked 10 ships near Hormuz after the US sank five Iranian oil tankers on Wednesday. Dated Brent has stayed above $100 since September 3, while China has recently increased crude buying.
