Byron Donalds Becomes Florida's First Black Governor

Republican congressman Byron Donalds has won the race for governor of Florida, becoming the state's first black governor. The Trump ally narrowly beat Democrat David Jolly in a contest that turned out much closer than expected. His win was a rare bright spot for Republicans on a difficult midterm night, as Democrats took control of Congress amid voter anger over prices and the Iran war.
