Brazil downgrades Argentina ties after Milei calls the Brazilian President a "thief"

Brazil has asked Argentina to recall its ambassador after President Javier Milei called his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, a "thief." Brazil's government is reducing its diplomatic representation to the level of Chargé d'Affaires and recalled its own ambassador for consultations. Milei insisted Lula is a "thief and a corrupt official," claiming he was released due to an administrative error, not innocence.
