Birmingham City Council saves £5 million in rent fraud investigations
Birmingham City Council's fraud investigators recovered £5 million of public money during the past year. Their team pursued tenants suspected of illegally renting council properties, re-letting 36 homes to families in need. They also cancelled 12 suspicious Right to Buy applications and rejected 210 housing applications.
