Thousands of passengers across Europe are facing severe disruption as Berlin-Brandenburg Airport ceased all regular flights on Wednesday. A full-day warning strike by the Verdi union on March 18, 2026, caused the complete airport shutdown over an ongoing wage dispute. London flights operated by British Airways were cancelled or delayed, with other UK city-break routes to Berlin also reporting same-day flight cancellations.
