Australia's NSW state to buy back guns after Bondi Beach attack

New South Wales is set to provide up to AUS$1,000 for firearms, including pistols, shotguns, and rifles, starting 2 November, after 15 people were shot dead at a Jewish festival on Sydney's Bondi Beach last year. The buyback scheme targets people with more weapons than new rules allow or those without a valid licence. The state and federal governments are jointly funding the buyback, with businesses also getting support.
