Afghan women face arrests and abuse five years after Taliban takeover
Five years after the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan, women and girls still face a humanitarian crisis, including arrests and abuse. Around 2.6 million girls are unable to continue their education past Grade 6. Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban's foreign minister, refutes claims that all activities are prohibited for women.
