Ackman bids over €50bn for music giant
A major takeover could reshape the global music industry and investor returns. Billionaire Bill Ackman’s hedge fund Pershing Square has offered to buy Universal Music Group in a cash-and-stock deal, valuing it at more than €50bn. The company, led by Sir Lucian Grainge, has seen its share price fall by over a quarter in the past year.
