Prominent current and former footballers advocate for new leadership at Fifa, asserting that the sport has deviated from its fundamental principles. Their response follows Gianni Infantino's proposal to divest shares in the World Cup, a decision they believe was made without consulting players or supporters. Samuel Eto'o, president of the Cameroonian football federation, however, defended Infantino, saying these are election-related concerns.
