An industrial unit blaze in Essex on Friday saw 20 firefighters need hospital treatment after a fertiliser explosion. The incident, on Southend Road, between East Hanningfield and Rettendon, additionally saw three fire engines and two fire officer cars obliterated. About 100 firefighters tackled the significant fire, with some remaining at the scene overnight.
