Why tax vapes?

The government is introducing this tax to make vaping less appealing, especially to young people. By increasing the price, they hope to discourage new users. However, they also want to ensure vaping remains cheaper than traditional tobacco, to encourage smokers to switch to what's considered a less harmful alternative.
