Why do share prices change?

Share prices change due to supply and demand. If many people want to buy a share (high demand) and fewer want to sell (low supply), the price goes up. Conversely, if more people want to sell, like the Rausing family reducing their US investments, and fewer want to buy, the price tends to fall.
