Why do floods happen in Nepal?

Nepal's geography makes it very vulnerable to flash floods, especially during monsoon season. Steep terrain, fragile soil, and heavy rainfall combine to create dangerous conditions. Deforestation can worsen the problem, as fewer trees mean less soil stability. These floods often cause significant loss of life and damage to infrastructure, like in the Rasuwa district.
