What's an OLED screen?

OLED stands for 'Organic Light Emitting Diode'. Unlike traditional LCD screens, each pixel in an OLED display generates its own light. This means they can achieve perfect blacks and incredibly vibrant colours, as pixels can be completely switched off. It's a premium technology, often found in high-end smartphones and TVs, and now potentially coming to the iPad Mini.
