What is geothermal energy?

Geothermal energy taps into the Earth's natural heat, which comes from its core. In places like Munich, this heat warms underground water, which can then be pumped up to provide heating and generate electricity. It's a renewable energy source, meaning it won't run out, and it's much cleaner than burning fossil fuels.
