What is AGI?

Elon Musk's prediction about AI surpassing human intelligence refers to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Unlike current AI, which is good at specific tasks like playing chess or recommending films, AGI would be able to understand, learn, and apply intelligence to any intellectual task a human can. It's a hypothetical future stage of AI development.
