Explained in plain English

Is AGI different from superintelligence?

AGI, or Artificial General Intelligence, aims for human-like cognitive abilities across many tasks, as OpenAI is pursuing. Superintelligence, however, describes an AI that vastly surpasses human intellect in virtually every field. While AGI is a step towards it, superintelligence is a hypothetical future where AI could solve problems far beyond our current comprehension, potentially impacting the issues raised by the US states.
