What is a brain bleed?

A brain bleed, or haemorrhage, occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures, causing blood to leak into surrounding brain tissue. This can be extremely dangerous as the blood puts pressure on the brain, damaging cells. In Stu's tragic case, the AVM on his brain stem led to a fatal bleed.
