Worcester man died aged 36 after hidden brain condition caused gym collapse
Stu Grant, a 36-year-old fitness enthusiast, died in March after collapsing at a David Lloyd gym near Sixways due to a fatal brain bleed. The seizure occurred due to an undiagnosed arteriovenous malformation, which is an unusual grouping of blood vessels located on his brain stem. As he had registered for organ donation, his liver and two kidneys were transplanted, saving three lives.
