What happens at 20,000 feet?

At 20,000 feet, the air pressure outside an aircraft is much lower than inside the cabin, which is pressurised to simulate a lower altitude for passenger comfort and safety. A breach, like the broken window, would cause a rapid decompression, meaning air would rush out, potentially pulling objects and people with it, as Svetlana Grković described.
