What are restriction zones?

Restriction zones are specific geographical areas, sometimes just a few miles wide, that serious offenders are not allowed to leave after being released from prison. This new scheme, starting in October, uses GPS monitoring to ensure compliance, aiming to enhance public safety and provide victims with more peace of mind by preventing unwanted contact.
