How to protect yourself from scams?

The best defence against scams is vigilance and direct verification. If you receive a suspicious message, especially one asking for personal details or to click a link, always contact the company directly using official contact details. Never use the links or phone numbers provided in the message itself, as these will lead you straight to the scammer.
