How do these scams work?

Scammers pose as recruiters on job sites, luring jobseekers into fake interviews. They trick victims into downloading malicious software disguised as normal documents. This software then allows them to access personal information or accounts, as seen with the victim who lost £18,000 from their crypto savings after downloading a document from a fake LinkedIn recruiter.
