David Carrick, formerly an armed officer with the Metropolitan Police, has been convicted on nine further sex offences at the Old Bailey. These include the indecent assault of a 12-year-old in the late 1980s and the rape of a woman between 2014 and 2019. Carrick is already serving 36 life sentences with a minimum term of over 30 years for 71 sexual offences against 12 women Hertfordshire Police commended the victims and encouraged others to report incidents. Evidence presented included a 1990 letter where Carrick admitted to child abuse.
