One young person dies from meningitis in Reading

Health bosses are urging people in Reading to be aware of meningitis symptoms following a recent local outbreak. A young person has sadly died, and two others are currently receiving treatment for the infection, the UK Health Security Agency confirmed. One confirmed case is meningitis B, and close contacts are being offered preventative antibiotics as a precaution.
