Lammy: Starmer won't set exit date despite 25% of MPs' calls
Government uncertainty is continuing after Labour losses raised pressure on the prime minister from within his own party. David Lammy said Keir Starmer would not set a timetable for leaving office despite growing calls for him to step down. Reuters reported that nearly a quarter of Labour MPs backed his departure after poor local election results on 7 May.
