NHS Heart Patients to Receive Free Weekly Injection

The NHS will offer the weight-loss jab Wegovy, also known as semaglutide, free to 1.2 million eligible patients in England from this summer. It is approved for overweight people who have previously had a heart attack, stroke, or circulation problem. Clinical trials show the weekly injection cuts the risk of another major heart event by 20%.
