Trump announces tariffs on UK over Greenland stance

Donald Trump has announced 10 percent tariffs on eight European countries including Britain starting February 1 unless they support a US deal to purchase Greenland. The tariffs will rise to 25 percent on June 1 if no agreement is reached. Trump claims European countries have put troops in Greenland for unknown purposes creating a dangerous situation. The US president argues China and Russia want Greenland and Denmark cannot protect it. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated Greenland's future should be decided by its people and Denmark.
