"Zootopia 2" Breaks Records as Top U.S. Animated Film
Disney's "Zootopia 2" has become the highest-grossing U.S. animated film of all time, earning $1.7 billion worldwide. It surpassed "Inside Out 2" ($1.69 billion) and is also Hollywood's highest-grossing film of 2025. The film had a record-breaking opening in China, grossing $619 million and becoming the country's highest-grossing American film. Its global opening reached $556.4 million, marking the best start of 2025 and the highest global animated opening ever for Walt Disney Animation Studios.
