S&P 500 hits record on Iran war hopes
Investors are optimistic about reduced global economic risk if tensions in the Iran war begin to calm. Wall Street reached a new record on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 index climbing 0.8% and exceeding its previous high set in January. This follows regional officials reporting an "in principle agreement" between the US and Iran to extend a ceasefire for diplomacy.
