Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant staff drops to 22.
Ukraine’s state nuclear operator Energoatom has warned that staffing levels at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant have dropped to dangerous lows, threatening safe operations. Before the full-scale war, 159 licensed reactor experts were employed; that figure has now shrunk to only 22. Officials say those still on site face extreme strain, alongside alleged coercion and detentions for refusing Russian contract terms. Kyiv has firmly dismissed ideas of joint management, calling them both hazardous and unworkable
