Anthropic says Chinese firms copied Claude knowledge
People could see faster AI competition as American companies try harder to protect their technology from rivals. In March, Anthropic added software to watch some China-based Claude Code users, then removed it after criticism, saying it was an experiment and alleging Chinese companies had used its systems without permission to improve their own models. One claimed campaign involved 25,000 fraudulent accounts.
